My Favorite MAC Collection

Out of all the collections MAC has released since I had gotten into MAC Style Black was by far my all time favorite. It was focused around goth and punk fashion and all the products were black or dark colored, hence the reason for the name of the collection.

The Reason Style Black was my favorite collection was due to the what the collection's focus was on. Like I had recently said Style Black's main focus was around the 80's goth and punk subcultures, and although I do not label myself or try to fit into a certain category I have taken bits and pieces from both subcultures and incorporated them into my own personal style. Another reason I liked Style Black so much was because many of the products were ones that could easily be used by both sexes. Women and men who were either feminine, masculine, or even androgynous could use a good amount of the products without sacrificing their femininity/masculinity/androgyny.

The products in the Style Black collection were all black or dark colored like i said before. Lipsticks, nail lacquers, mineralized eyeshadows, and even the skincare products were all black/dark colored. Among the many products was Black Knight Lipstick, which was a black creamsheen formula; Blue Flame Mineralized eyeshadow, which was blue with a black undertone; Blackware Glimmerglass, which was a black lipgloss with glitter in it; the grease paintstick, which is similar to a shadestick; and the Penultimate liquid eyeliner, which is permanent at all MAC stores. Along with the makeup the skincare products were awesome as well. I had gotten one product from the collection, although I had wanted to get more, which was the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. It had came out years earlier with a previous collection, which I believe was Future Earth, and I had heard so much hype about it when the info about the Style Black collection was released to the public.

The Volcanic Ash Exfoliator is said to be made with Volcanic Ash and sugar, and it is very good for your skin. I have sensitive, acne pron skin so when I had used it on my face it made me break out however when I used it to exfoliate my body it worked wonders and my skin felt wicked smooth. I hope MAC brings back the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator again.

The Promo Images for the collection were absolutely stunning. A woman putting on the Grease Paintstick, a woman putting on Black Knight Lipstick, and a guy with beautiful eye makeup holding a rose were among some of the images used for the collection. They definitely captured the 80's theme of the collection with a modern twist to it. Along with the 80's theme with the modern vibe to it, some of the images also had a bit of sex appeal to them without looking   trashy; I felt that the little bit of sex appeal of the images was a good idea because it made the images look all the more amazing and gave the collection a more luscious vibe.

Although the collection didn't have limited edition packaging it was still an amazing collection and in my opinion was the best collection MAC has release since I got into MAC. Maybe someday down the road MAC will release another collection that is somehow similar to this one or brings back some of the products.

Sophie Lancaster

The anniversary of the Sophie Lancaster murder is approaching and on the 11th of August I plan on making a video about the assault on Sophie and her boyfriend Robert. The Sophie Lancaster murder was a hate crime, much like the Matthew Shepard murder, and was just a tragic and if not even more terrifying than Shepard's murder. To think someone can be physically attacked and murdered just because they look the way they do is horrific, and Sophie's death saddens and angers me whenever I read or speak about it. I hope that those who did what they did to Sophie and Robert will never see freedom again.

Robert is actually one of my favorite artists and his work is amazing. His exhibition to Sophie called "Crimson Iris: The Art of Sophie" included one of my favorite paintings done by him. it's called 'In which a desperate act causes chaos to desend,' and I have an image of the painting below.

PDA (Public Display of Affection)

As you can probably tell I'm ok with certain forms of PDA depending on the location and in some cases the time and what you are doing. In school I disagree strongly with students making out or kissing in the halls, etc. School is not the place to be doing such things since your main reason for being in school is to learn. In work places if you're caught kissing or even showing any forms of PDA you can get fired. Although I am gay, and I am slightly less bothered by a gay couple making out in school, I don't feel that two guys making out in public is nice or cute, I think it's inappropriate as is a straight couple making out. Love is love however no matter if you're gay, straight, bisexual, or pansexual there is a time and place to show that love and affection.

Style, Makeup, and Men in the Kitchen: Herb Infused Scrambled Eggs

This is quite easy to make. don't put too much garlic powder or paprika because they are very strong spices and you aren't trying to ward off vampires lol. Obviously you don't have to do everything the way I do it so you can add or leave out certain things, and you don't need to make the toast, I just thought it'd be a nice touch and because i was in the mood to have some.

Soda and iced Tea Mix = Fizz

I remember putting lemonade mix in soda a few years ago when I wanted to add some lemon flavor to my soda and obviously when i had done it back then it fizzed up so hours before I had recorded this video I was like "That'd be a great thing to show people."
